Wedgewood is currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager to join our team! Our company specializes in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes (acquiring and selling REOs, foreclosures, and other distressed properties). Founded in 1985, Wedgewood has grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding its business footprint to include residential rehabilitation, non-performing notes, property management, private lending, brokerage, escrow, and more. Over the past 30 years, our company has built a longstanding reputation for its assorted multidisciplinary endeavors.

 

The Operations Manager will be responsible for improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of Maxim Properties operations. Act as the liaison for the Transaction Supervisor, Listing Manager and Sales Supervisor to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams such as but not limited to Broker Assistants, Asset Managers, Transaction coordinators, Listings team, Administrative team and directly manage the Maxim Receptionists.

What you'll do

 

  • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize departmental output.
  • Improve policy and procedures in support of the company's goals
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate and communicate with teams & team leaders to ensure the most economical and efficient process for asset resales.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing Maxim team members
  • Coordinate with Managing Broker and Supervisors as needed to ensure efficient allocation of workloads and flow of business
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans and operational goals for Maxim Properties teams.
  • Effectively communicate to all levels within the organization and provide direction to all internal departments
  • Collaborate with Human Resources in maintaining a departmental organizational chart, job descriptions and employee relations.
  • Coordinate with the Managing Broker, Transaction Supervisor and Listings & Sales Supervisor to ensure that job descriptions accurately record the primary responsibilities, qualifications and terms for each job role in their group
  • Set performance standards for tasks, jobs and roles of the Maxim Properties teams
  • Coordinate with the Transaction Supervisor and Listings & Sales Manager to ensure employees have appropriate and realistic job goals.

 

What you'll need

 

  • 5+ years of Real Estate experience
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Self-starter with strong initiative
  • STRONG attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Strong, persistent, problem solving ability
  • Knowledge and experience in real estate industry with listings, resales and property management.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic and self-starting approach
  • Past record of customer service and administrative expertise
  • Commit fully to achieving and exceeding significant daily, weekly and monthly goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
