Advanced Air at Hawthorne Municipal Airport is currently seeking an A&P Mechanic to join our team! We pride in providing exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond the ordinary, and are looking for an A&P Mechanich who does the same.


Advanced Air was founded in 2005 with just one King Air 90. Since then, we've become a full-service charter and aircraft management group, with over 15 aircrafts and 60 employees based out of Jet Center Los Angeles. In this role, you will inspect, service, and repair airplanes to ensure they're operating correctly and safely. You'll be responsible for ensuring that airplanes get regular maintenance and that any problems are fixed correctly, based on the DOM's schedule. You'll make sure every aircraft is meticulously maintained, presentable, and safe for flight.

What you'll do

  • Perform Maintenance on Company owner and managed Aircraft by DOM’s approval
  • Process to secure best parts for value, new, overhauled, or repair of current part. Taking into account part price and aircraft downtime
  • Work hand and hand with Director of Safety and Director of Maintenance to ensure process are in place and used to improve operations and maintain ISBAO / ARG/US Platinum / Air charter Safety Foundation
  • Monitor maintenance status reports and develop work packages to maintain aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure that all necessary documents pertaining to the release of an aircraft from a maintenance event have been properly completed prior to flight.
  • Assess and manage equipment/parts inventory in order to properly maintain aircraft by ordering necessary equipment/parts from approved vendors and follow up to ensure that the items are received
  • Make routine inspections, document inspections and repairs, perform scheduled maintenance and run tests after making repairs or performing maintenance
  • A mechanic working on the exterior of a plane may be fixing a broken wing, repairing paint or securing a door so it seals properly. A mechanic working on the engine may be changing the oil, replacing belts or repairing a broken part.
  • An A&P mechanic must know and follow all regulations set by the FAA.

The Director of Maintenance must be highly knowledgeable of the Aircraft Manufacturer's

Maintenance Manual, inspection and maintenance specifications, applicable Federal

Aviation Regulations and applicable portions of the Operations Manual. He maintains close

liaison with CHDO and local FAA on maintenance matters. (Reference CFR Part 119.71)
