Wedgewood is currently seeking a full-time Escrow Assistant to join our team! Our company specializes in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes (acquiring and selling REOs, foreclosures, and other distressed properties). Founded in 1985, Wedgewood has grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding its business footprint to include residential rehabilitation, non-performing notes, property management, private lending, brokerage, escrow, and more. Over the past 30 years, our company has built a longstanding reputation for its assorted multidisciplinary endeavors.

 

The escrow assistant aids the escrow officer in escrow transactions using the gained knowledge of real estate law and land title underwriting guidelines. The individual must stay abreast of changes in the market to best serve the objectives of the organization and to adjust plans accordingly. The position assists in researches and development of pricing policies and recommends appropriate strategies to management in an effort to capture new clients’ business.

What you'll do

  • Oversees the activities of the escrow transaction to ensure all business operating practices are executed in a timely manner.
  • Manages the complete closing transaction through research, expert knowledge and consultation with involved parties.
  • Accurately manages and calculates all financial matters surrounding each closing transaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Follows all quality, safety and company guidelines to ensure a safe and productive work environment, and actively lives the company values.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance or other related field
  • Three-plus years' previous experience as an escrow closing officer
