Wedgewood Inc. is currently seeking a Real Estate Runner to join our team! Wedgewood is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single-family homes. Are you seeking an opportunity where no two days are ever the same? Do you have a passion for the real estate investment industry and thrive in fast-paced environments? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will act as a "jack-of-all-trades" as your responsibility is to support our Project Managers who oversee our rehabs. 

What you'll do

  • Support our acquisitions team by driving & valuing properties throughout
  • Inspect properties to determine occupancy, overall condition, and quality of neighborhood
  • Attend auctions to bid on properties
  • Assist Senior Project Managers with light project management when needed
  • Bank runs, running checks, dropping off lock boxes, etc.
  • Negotiate relocations/cash for keys when needed
  • Take and upload pictures to our proprietary systems and use mobile tools to streamline data quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure properties are moved through the pipeline quickly, correctly and efficiently
  • And more!

What you'll need

  • The most important traits for a successful candidate are: intelligence, diligence, attention to detail, problem solving skills and a positive attitude.
  • Some construction and/or real estate experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred; great opportunity for new grads!
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
  • Aptitude with computers and mobile devices, i.e. iPads, etc.
