Advanced Air is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist. Advanced Air was founded in 2005 with just one King Air 90. Since then, we've become a full-service charter and aircraft management group with over 15 aircrafts and 60 employees, all based out of Jet Center Los Angeles.


Day to day, you'll work with our Accounting Manager to ensure Advanced Air’s books are accurately managed. This is a part-time position with ample room to grow, potentially into a full-time team member. Our new AP/AR Specialist will assist with credit card reconciliations, vendor management, wire transfers, and proper recording of internal transactions. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner who doesn't shy away from asking questions. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking accounting professional to be part of a team focused on delivering best in class Accountant services.

What you'll do

  • Gain real-world Accounting experience in Private Class Aviation
  • Ensure vendor invoices are properly approved and matched to supporting documentation
  • Process of accounts payable, ensuring proper classification, coding, and approval
  • Prepare monthly invoices, monitor outstanding A/R and follow up on past due accounts
  • Assist in coding monthly credit card transactions and billing
  • Complete wire transfers, including approvals and bank-related applications

What you'll need

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor Degree or current Accounting students preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid CA driver's license
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated mathematical ability
  • Sensitivity to confidential information, along with a strong sense of ethics
  • Abililty to work independently and as a member of team
  • Strong and effective communication
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented role preferred
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks Online or relevant accounting software preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass FAA drug/alcohol screening and background checks, as well as submit to random drug testing as required
