Wedgewood is currently seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our team! Our company specializes in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes (acquiring and selling REOs, foreclosures, and other distressed properties). Founded in 1985, Wedgewood has grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding its business footprint to include residential rehabilitation, non-performing notes, property management, private lending, brokerage, escrow, and more. Over the past 30 years, our company has built a longstanding reputation for its assorted multidisciplinary endeavors.



The paralegal position researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist the VP, general counsel by performing a variety of support duties.

What you'll do


  • Inputting information and documents in Minerva
  • Reviewing discovery
  • Invoice processing
  • UD court appearances
  • General UD support
  • Maintaining litigation calendar
  • Small claims prosecuting of claims
  • Small Claims court appearances to defend
  • Maintaining and indexing on-line deal and litigation files
  • Organizing and building an on-line form file for transactions and litigation files
  • Scan, copy, and maintain files as needed
  • Maintain litigation files, calendar, and corporate maintenance files
  • Monitor and process corporate formalities for all entities, including minutes, resolutions, etc.
  • Process 3rd party invoicing
  • Transmit corporate maintenance/authority docs internally as requested
  • Complete annual/biannual filings for corporations and LLC's in States they're registered to transact business in
  • Assist in redlining changes to documents
  • Circulate documents to the involved parties/outside counsels for review or comment
  • Complete and submit requested Change of Ownership forms from the County Assessor if needed
  • Assist legal counsels with drafting authorization letters for Property Managers

What you'll need


  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
