Wedgewood is currently seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician to join our team! Wedgewood is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes. Over the past 30 years, our company has built a longstanding reputation for its assorted multidisciplinary endeavors. In this position you will be responsible for organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting Wedgewood emoployees's computer systems.

What you'll do

  • Provide helpdesk support for internal and remote users.
  • Responsible for installation and upgrades of hardware and software, basic account management, assist with network changes and upgrades.
  • Maintain, repair, or schedule service for laptops, PC, and printers.
  • Assist newly hired employees with logging in and obtaining appropriate IT devices needed to perform their job function.
  • Maintain an inventory of laptops, workstations, servers, and network hardware. Update documentation to record new equipment installed, new sites, and changes to computer configurations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Evaluate resolutions for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Place follow-up calls to users about ongoing issues.
  • Install and maintain security systems on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot users' issues as they arise.
  • Learn new hardware and software to be supported.
  • Care for all computer-related equipment, including workstations and printers.
  • Install new software.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

What you'll need

  • 1+ years of experience supporting domain level, enterprise services (for example, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, email services, and web services).
  • 1+ Years of experience supporting Windows 2003/2008/2012 infrastructures.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; degree in IT related field preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional analytic and reporting skills.
  • Comfortable working with VPNs.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting, setting up computers and associated peripherals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Adept at learning new technologies.
  • PC proficient with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Potential to travel to other office locations throughout the region.
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
  • Experience troubleshooting non-routine problems associated with personal computers, peripherals, servers, and LAN-WAN-external network connectivity.
  • Must have the ability to determine the root cause of issues and work alone or with team members / external resources to determine work around and permanent solutions.
