Wedgewood is currently seeking a Post Closing Specialist to join our team! Our company is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes. Founded in 1985, we have since grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding our business footprint to also include non-performing notes, home warranty, lending, design, brokerage, property management, escrow, and more.

What you'll do

  • Reviewing all loan files prior to shipping to Custodian. Identify any incorrect and or missing documents and alert management of any issues with the file and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Packaging completed loan files for delivery to Custodian within SLA timeframes. Follow through on shipping until funded
  • Pull Data Tapes for Investors, Custodian and Servicers
  • Review and satisfy all outstanding conditions on diligence report prior to funding with investors. Research, seek and obtain support from other business units to reconcile conditions
  • Correspond with the escrow/title companies and Funders on correcting any post-closing issues
  • Collaborate closely with Capital Markets on Investor Trades by uploading imaged files to investor sites and obtain all corrected documents conditions within salability timeframe from underwriters, processors, closers and closing agents
  • Proactively and knowledgably communicate to internal departments and closing agents on outstanding post-closing conditions or issues
  • Upload any post-closing documents to the LOS system
  • Request closing packages from title companies within 48 hours of disbursement
  • Boarding loans to Servicer within SLA timeframes
  • Notify Post Closing Manager of errors and issues, coordinate corrections or documentation errors in order to verify salability of loans

 

What you'll need

 

  • 2+ years if post-closing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong initiative
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
