More information about this job

Wedgewood is looking for a proactive and organized Executive Assistant to support our Vice President of Finance! Our company is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes. Founded in 1985, we have since grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding our business footprint to also include non-performing notes, home warranty, lending, design, brokerage, property management, escrow, and more.

We’re looking for a strong partner for our VP, who will not only own her schedule, meetings, and bookkeeping, but who will also provide support in day-to-day errands and projects – both for business and personal needs. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes pride in their work, and can effectively communicate with anyone from executives, to investors, to team members at all levels.

What you'll do

  • Act as an extension of our VP, and a representative of Wedgewood
  • Own and organize a complex calendar, ensuring there are no double-bookings or mislabeled events, and working with internal and external stakeholders to schedule meetings
  • Prioritize projects and meetings, acting as a gatekeeper to keep our VP’s day running efficiently
  • Manage and improve bookkeeping processes for two executives
  • Run errands, coordinate travel accommodations, and make reservations
  • Act as liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level executives as well as administrative team members
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information with discretion and professionalism
  • Manage or assist in ad-hoc projects, both independently and within a team
  • Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes as necessary

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience providing support for high-level Financial or Investor-facing Executives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence working with numbers as well as executives, directors, and investors
  • Unflinching professionalism, tact, and discretion
  • Organization, attention to detail, and a habit of anticipating needs, logistics, and obstacles
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks
