Wedgewood is currently seeking Bidders to join our team! Our company is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes. Founded in 1985, we have since grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding our business footprint to also include non-performing notes, home warranty, lending, design, brokerage, property management, escrow, and more.

 

The Bidder attends auctions at the courthouse steps where we buy our homes! The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver who is able to take initiative. The schedule is Monday-Friday between the hours of about 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

What you'll do

 

  • Support our acquisitions team by bidding on houses at courthouse steps and other auction locations
  • Use our proprietary systems and mobile tools to streamline data quick and efficiently
  • Maintain communication between auctioneers and our acquisitions team
  • Provide real-time updates on sales information such as: postponed sales, cancellations, bidding activity
  • Independent problem-solver who takes initiative and is capable of handling high stress and time constrained situations
  • High aptitude for multitasking
  • Responsible for handling large dollar cashier's checks for secure and proper delivery

 

What you'll need

 

 

  • Valid driver’s license (we provide mileage reimbursement)
  • Ability to assess the overall condition of a home
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
  • Aptitude with computers and mobile devices, i.e. iPads, etc.

This is a part-time position and is paid hourly, therefore, this position does not include benefits.
