Wedgewood is currently seeking a Closing Coordinator to join our team! Our company is a leading acquirer of distressed residential real estate, specializing in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes. Founded in 1985, we have since grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding our business footprint to also include non-performing notes, home warranty, lending, design, brokerage, property management, escrow, and more.

What you'll do

  • Schedule and/or confirm closing dates with closing companies.
  • Review loan documents for errors.
  • Follow up on outstanding underwriting conditions and make sure the conditions are satisfied prior to funding.
  • Assist processors on outstanding conditions.
  • Verify disclosures are signed and uploaded to Encompass
  • Call closing companies on outstanding loan documents and update Encompass with tracking status.
  • Check in received loan documents and disseminate into document containers for funding review
  • Assist doc drawers and funders as requested
  • Assist Closing Manager with special projects or issues as requested

What you'll need

  • 1+ years of mortgage experience
  • Strong initiative
  • Good customer/client relations.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
