Wedgewood is currently seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our team! Our company specializes in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes (acquiring and selling REOs, foreclosures, and other distressed properties). Founded in 1985, Wedgewood has grown into a diversified, vertically integrated company, expanding its business footprint to include residential rehabilitation, non-performing notes, property management, private lending, brokerage, escrow, and more. Over the past 30 years, our company has built a longstanding reputation for its assorted multidisciplinary endeavors.

What you'll do

  • Prepare monthly elimination journal entries for all intercompany transactions including VIEs
  • Calculate monthly non-controlling interest and economic income for NPL
  • Prepare monthly consolidated FS for review
  • Create and maintain all financial reports coming out of Management Reporter
  • Assist in creating and developing an efficient consolidation process
  • Assist in developing best practice and internal control over financial reporting
  • Prepare annual disclosure checklist
  • Draft annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP
  • Coordinates and prepare necessary audit schedules to support footnote disclosure
  • Performs analytical analysis on MoM, QoQ, YoY variances as well as budget over actual
  • Assist and participate in optimizing existing process to increase efficiency
  • Participate in special projects as deemed necessary

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Auditing background preferred
  • Five years of accounting experience (private & public)
