We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Accounting Team as an Accounting AX Manager.  

 

Our company specializes in the purchase, rehab, and resale of single family homes (acquiring and selling REOs, foreclosures, and other distressed properties). The position requires strong business skills as well as good technology skills. This person will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including configuring, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.  This person will work with the users to identify and implement modifications to the existing and future applications. They will also participate during the implementation of the application systems.  This person will be responsible for assisting with the design, testing, roll out and documenting the custom configuration of applications and operating procedures. 

What you'll do

  • Subject matter expert on the specified system(s) or application(s) used by the Accounting team and acts as the liaison between Accounting and Information Technology.
  • Conducts preliminary research for automation and process improvement project requests. Defines project scope and objectives when applicable. Acts as a lead on a number of key projects within accounting team. Work directly with appropriate team members to understand project concept, objectives and approach. Takes assigned projects from original concept through final implementation, with minimal guidance.
  • Strong understanding of programming, database design and development, data sources and data feeds used to populate reports.
  • Partner with end-users to analyze and understand user needs, objectives, desired features, reports, and input and output requirements.
  • Provide resolution to functional support issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements, and liaise with IT until the problem is resolved.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing accounting systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
  • Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
  • Provides assistance, advice and training to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
  • Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs

What you'll need

  • Should have a minimum of 7 years of experience with at least 5 years hands-on technical roles
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts, and enterprise software applications.
  • Strong background in data base design in Microsoft SQL
  • Expert experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX, Yardi and Management Reporter
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
  • Self-motivated and results orientated individual with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage priorities;
  • Good leadership skills in order to obtain appropriate information and arrange and co-ordinate projects
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment, and engaging successfully in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Possess a high attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to think logically and objectively with the ability to think outside of the box and see the bigger picture, comfortable in a dynamic environment
